and thyme in a large saucepan, bring the
boil and reduce heat to low, cover then
simmer for 45 minutes, until broth is briny
from the clams.

Add in the carrot and celery cover cook for
25 minutes, Add garlic and potato, cover and
cook 20 more minutes and serve.
